LaseTDS - Twistlock Detection System
Automated terminal design often includes endfeed areas of the stack where automated yard cranes load and unload road trucks. The types chassis used by road trucks are numerous and providing safe and reliant automated for this application can be a challenge.
The LaseTDS system is capable of making a relative measurement of the twistlock position of the chassis and the spreader position that can be used for the automated loading and unloading in the endfeed bay.
Twistlock Detection
The LASE 3000D-C2-118 series 3D laser scanners are mounted above the endfeed bays.
When an empty truck reverses into the bay, the laser scanners performs a 3D scan to detect the twistlock positions and calculate the landing position of the container.
Endfeed Automation
In order to perform a relative measurement, the 3D laser scanners will track the container during the lowering of the hoist and calculate its position towards the target.
